Day 3 Las Crusas 12/11/2018

First sleep at Las Crusas. Wanted to wake up early so the night before I asked Katie what time I should set my alarm because my phone clock did not update so it was till set for the time at home, I wanted to be ready for breakfast and was just super excited to start the day. So I set my alarm for 4:30. I woke up at 4:00 am because I was pumped to get up and told myself I have to be up in half hour anyway so might as well get up and get ready so I did. I got back to the room and the lady in our room asked me what time i had so I assumed about 6 or so but in reality it wasn't even 4:00 am yet so I woke up about 3 hours before i was supposed to. We had a good laugh about it but was ready anyway! We got up had breakfast then took a tour around the Botanical garden and seen pineapples, bananas, a big spider, red caterpillars, and really pretty birds. Then after we went into the forest to the Rio Java. After we walked back to the station we got out our equipment and set up our station. w

Day 2 Travel to Las Crusas 12/10/2018

Jumped on the bus and left Hotel Aeroporto at around 7:45 am. Drove along a curved road along mountain side through a lot of trees. Stopped along the way and hiked up a hill and seen mountains and trees at a place called Par-rah-moe meaning the Ecosystem in that area. We then carried on and stopped to have lunch at a place called Restaurante La Georgina which was amazing with great food and very scenic. I had the tongue, rice and macaroni salad, with a regular salad. We could sit at the windows and look out and eat and observe the humming bird feeders that was outside the windows and look at the landscape which was really nice. After lunch I walked around the property and took pictures of the garden that was behind the restaurant. We also seen some dogs! Taking in the smells of all the plants that was carried by a light breeze was amazing! We then left and made 2 more stops before reaching Las Crusas. When we arrived we got our bags and went to our rooms at the casa de wilson.

Day 1 San Jose Costa Rica 12/9/2018

Explored San Jose, went to City mall. Me and Katie tried the virtual reality simulator. After the mall we tried to go to the Plaza for souvenirs but had a hard time trying to ask the cab drivers to take us. So we went back to our room at the Hotel Aeropuerto. We then caught a cab to Central Park and went to a few shops. I got some ice cream and we checked out the Museum right in central park. We also visited the church was was there. In the middle of the park they also was playing music and people were dancing. Looked like Fun! We then returned to the Hotel to have dinner and meet with the rest of the group.

Day 0 Costa Rica 12/8/2018

Woke up at 4:50 a.m and left for Billings International Airport. Boarded the plane and flew to Salt Lake City. Left Salt Lake City for Atlanta, Georgia. Ate Cuban food for lunch. Then Flew out to San Jose. Arrived in San Jose at around 9:00 p.m.
